right now instead of studying for their finals. some schools here in l.a. are already off for the holidays. in l.a., we take three weeks off for the holidays instead of two because that's how long it takes for a nose job to completely heal. the kardashian family released their annual christmas card today. the kardashians don't mail things, they release them. there they are, all in white. it's nice to know what they look like in case you missed the last 250 issues of "in touch" magazine. they chose a surprised look. because that's the only facial expression bruce jenner can make these days. everyone is smiling except for kourtney's husband scott. i don't know if he's upset because he forgot his socks or what's going on. i was thinking about santa claus this morning. this santa thing. when you really think about it, this has to be the biggest, most elaborate prank in the history of the world. it's like we're all in on a huge joke we're playing on kids. and eventually they figure it out and they start lying to their kids, too. it can be awkward when your son or daughter starts asking

making turkey sushi for everyone. it's l.a., that's what we do. i'm actually going to st. louis for thanksgiving. i'm hungry already. when the food comes out, i eat like the cookie monster. i don't even eat. i just grab the food with my hands and smash it all over my face. most of us will have dinner with our families tomorrow, which can be difficult because they're weirdos who say weird things. quite a few members of our staff are traveling in the morning to be with their families, so, i thought it would be beneficial to go around the office today and ask them what they don't want to hear their family members say. always little things that come up around the holidays. i thought it would be smart to get them out in the open before everyone gets uncomfortable around the dinner table. think of this as a holiday version of launching a preemptive strike. >> i have a cousin that always asks me if i'm still with "jimmy kimmel live." and then i say yes, and then he says, oh, i never watch television. >> you still don't eat meat? yeah, i've been a vegetarian since 1995. >> dad, dad, dad! wh

port of l.a. in long beach with the latest on the strike. >> there is really only one story going on here right now and it is the strike. we are told the mayor is flying back from columbia to get down here to negotiations. we just talked to the head of the union and he says they are in this for the long haul. the unions say it is not about the money because the money is good. this is about job security. you are looking at a ship that has been sitting there since wednesday. it is filled not just with retail goods but a lot are parts, stuff that is needed now. >> it ripples through the supply chain. if the docks are not working and are not unloading cargo then the truckers are not working. it is going to get to the point where stores are going to be looking for their shipments and they are not getting them. after a week things are -- people are going to start noticing. >> now about a dozen ships have been diverted to other ports, most to mexico but other ships are waiting it out. if ships aren't offloaded exporters can't reload them with american goods. >> now the railroads are embargo
